Armor Knight GV 8-70UN Hasbro G4563
A heavy Defense-type Bey from the CX line: its round, layered blade is built to intercept attacks from any direction. The V Assist Blade inside it is worth swapping out.
Description
The Armor Knight is a right-spinning Defense-type Bey, built to block and deflect attacks from all directions. Picture the Armor Knight GV blade in three layers: the G Over Blade on top, the Armor Metal Blade around the side, the V Assist Blade underneath. The basic shape is almost circular, so the Bey can counter attacks from any angle. Even in its stock combination, the blade produces a lot of recoil.
At 47.4 g it is one of the heavier Defense-type Beys; the weight brings momentum and helps it hold its spin. The Under Needle bit has a defense stat of 60, rather high even for a Defense-type Bey: it keeps the center of gravity low and steady, so the Bey is harder to knock out of the stadium.
By tournament points, the Under Needle bit ranks 15th of 49 bits and the 8-70 ratchet 19th of 36 ratchets (as of 1 September 2026). The pieces of the Armor Knight GV blade are counted separately there: the G Over Blade sits at 5th of 6 Over Blades, the Armor Metal Blade at 40th of 111 blades and the V Assist Blade at 15th of 16 Assist Blades. BeybladeGeeks would have liked the V Assist Blade to be heavier and expect many Bladers to reach for Wheel or Heavy in its place. If you want more defense, fit a Wheel Assist Blade instead of V. For BeybladeGeeks, Armor Knight is the favorite among the three CX Infinity Beys from March. BeyCorner, by contrast, found the Armor Knight's stock combination surprisingly burst-prone and not very convincing. For ilinnuc, Armor Knight is solid but doesn't hold up especially well in battle: like other Defense-type Beys in Beyblade X, it struggles with a not-quite-ideal balance and with recoil. BeyCorner and BeybladeGeeks are mostly positive about the Under Needle bit's defense, while their verdict on the 8-70 ratchet is divided. In okuyama3093's tier list (S to D) the combination of Knight Lock Chip and Armor Metal Blade gets an A; in bey_bee's tier list (X to B+) a B+.
In the Beyblade X anime, it is Multi Nana-iro's Bey.
The Bey was released on 28 March 2026 in Japan by Takara Tomy as Knight Fortress GV8-70UN. Hasbro releases it as Armor Knight GV 8-70UN in the Infinity Starter Pack, in the USA and Canada since 26 June 2026.
Alongside the Bey, the Starter Pack also holds a launcher. The Bey belongs to the CX line, the Custom Line of Beyblade X: its blade comes apart into four pieces, with the main blade splitting in two, and that opens up plenty of options for rebuilding. Reassemble blade, ratchet and bit in a new way and you change how it runs.
