Balance meets stamina: Pearl Tiger strikes with smash and upper attacks and stands on one of the strongest Ratchets on the tournament scene, while Gill Shark spins for a long time on the Orb Bit thanks to its stamina-focused Blade, and the 4-70 Ratchet is worth swapping out.
Weiss Tiger 3-60Unite
Gill Shark 4-70OrbThis Dual Pack puts two play styles side by side: Pearl Tiger 3-60U is a Balance Bey, Gill Shark 4-70O a Stamina Bey. Pearl Tiger mixes attack and defence, while Gill Shark is meant to win duels by spinning longer than its opponent.
The Pearl Tiger Blade has an unusual build: three small edges and three notches on the side. It combines three zones: an edge for smash attacks, a slope for hits from below and a hollow meant to absorb the opponent's strikes. A hit from below upwards (Upper Attack) can lever the opponent out of the stadium. Underneath sits the 3-60 Ratchet, which keeps the Bey lower than on most Balance Beys. A low Bey gives opposing Blades less surface to hit.
At 43.1 g, Pearl Tiger sits mid-range among Balance Beys; the weight brings momentum and helps it hold its spin. The Unite Bit has a stamina value of 30, above average for a Balance Bey: it runs more smoothly and with less friction, so the spin lasts longer. In their test, BeybladeGeeks had the impression that the Unite Bit keeps Pearl Tiger in the stadium, even after it has scraped along the wall.
By tournament points, the 3-60 Ratchet ranks 3rd of 36 Ratchets, the Unite Bit 18th of 49 Bits and the Pearl Tiger Blade 46th of 110 Blades (as of 1 September 2026). Even three years after its debut, ilinnuc calls the 3-60 a really good Ratchet that you see at tournaments all the time. BeybladeGeeks and ilinnuc also view the 3-60 Ratchet mostly positively for tournaments. BeybladeGeeks are more critical of the Blade: Pearl Tiger is one of their favourite Beys, but it doesn't perform well enough in battle. In okuyama3093's ranking (S to D), the Pearl Tiger Blade gets a C. In ilinnuc's test battles, Pearl Tiger 3-60U shows some attack power straight out of the box, does well against Dagger Dran and keeps up overall.
In episode 48 of the Beyblade X anime, Pearl Tiger attacks from above and from below, and its shape makes it lose less stamina. There it scores two points by knockout against Arrow Wizard, and against Lance Knight, which runs out of stamina, it wins by Survivor Finish. In the same episode, Secret Nanairo finds that Pearl Tiger has three different strengths that make it so dangerous.
Gill Shark is built for stamina: its Blade has a stamina value of 55, a lot for a Stamina Bey, and keeps it spinning in long duels. At 38 g it is on the light side for a Stamina Bey, and more agile for it. The Orb Bit is essentially a Ball Bit with a much smaller, rounder ball. The 4-70 Ratchet keeps Gill Shark lower than most Stamina Beys, and therefore stable and defensive. BeybladeGeeks observe that the Orb Bit keeps the Bey more calmly in the centre of the stadium than a normal Ball Bit, which they like for stamina combos.
By tournament points, the Orb Bit ranks 19th of 49 Bits, the 4-70 Ratchet 28th of 36 Ratchets and the Gill Shark Blade 85th of 110 Blades (as of 1 September 2026). On stamina, BeybladeGeeks and ilinnuc view the Orb Bit mostly positively. ilinnuc, however, ranks it just below Ball and Free Ball. On burst resistance, by contrast, the verdict of BeyCorner and ilinnuc on the Orb Bit is consistently negative. BeyCorner criticises the 4-70 Ratchet because its contact points stick out far: attackers can catch on them and trigger a burst. This Ratchet is worth swapping out.
Pearl Tiger was first released on 15 June 2024 in Japan by Takara Tomy, where it is called Weiss Tiger 3-60U. Hasbro brings Pearl Tiger and Gill Shark together in this Dual Pack, which was first released in May 2025 in Australia. So far, Gill Shark is only available in this Dual Pack.
The box contains exactly these two right-spinning Beys from the BX line; you need a launcher separately to launch them. Reassembling the Blade, Ratchet and Bit changes how a Bey runs.
Two complete builds — each top broken down into blade, ratchet and bit. Stats from the packaging; performance may vary. Parts are interchangeable with any Beyblade X component.
