Ridge Triceratops 9-80GN Hasbro G3392

A defense bey whose blade brings an unusually high attack value for its type. It isn't a tournament setup out of the box: the most obvious change is a different bit in place of the Gear Needle, and a 9-60 or 9-70 in place of the tall 9-80 is also a popular choice.

Description

The Ridge Triceratops blade has an attack value of 32; for a defense bey that is high, so its hits land correspondingly harder. At 40, the bit's defense value is below what defense beys usually bring; a higher value would put the centre of gravity lower and steadier and protect the bey better against knockouts.

Picture the Ridge Triceratops's Gear Needle bit as a pointed cone whose gear ring runs all the way down to the tip. That makes it easier for it to catch the Xtreme Line, the outer track of the stadium, where the right-spinning defense bey accelerates into an Xtreme Dash.

The Ridge Triceratops is more interesting for collectors than for competitive bladers. By tournament points, the 9-80 ratchet ranks 22nd of 36 ratchets, the Gear Needle bit 45th of 49 bits and the Ridge Triceratops blade 95th of 105 blades (as of 1 September 2026). BeybladeGeeks call the Ridge Triceratops blade a poor pick for tournament players. BeybladeGeeks are consistently critical of the Gear Needle bit and advise swapping it: in their view a defense bey doesn't need an Xtreme Dash, many other bits perform noticeably better, and on a hard launch the bey runs a little unsteadily on it and can even knock itself out of the stadium. On the 9-80 ratchet, BeybladeGeeks welcome the nine prongs but consider the height of 80 a drawback, because in their view tall setups can't quite keep up with the strong attack beys; BeybladeGeeks therefore prefer a 9-60 or 9-70.

Hasbro released the Ridge Triceratops in the USA on 30 January 2026, and it followed in Canada on 19 February 2026.

The box contains only the bey; you'll need a launcher separately. The bey belongs to the BX line, the Basic Line of Beyblade X. Putting the blade, ratchet and bit together in a new way changes how it runs.
