Beat Tyranno 4-70Q and Knife Shinobi 4-80HN Dual Pack Hasbro G1542

Two Beys, two play styles, no launcher: Beat Tyranno is an Attack-type Bey that jumps around the stadium and attacks by surprise, Knife Shinobi a Defense-type Bey that holds the centre of the stadium with its cone-shaped tip. The centrepiece is the heavy Beat Tyranno blade with its jagged edges for surprise attacks. A clear recommendation for Attack fans.

Description

This Hasbro dual pack contains Beat Tyranno 4-70Q, an Attack-type Bey, and Knife Shinobi 4-80HN, a Defense-type Bey. Both belong to the BX line.

Beat Tyranno lives off its Quake bit. The bit is lopsided: its tip drops off steeply and is strongly rounded at the edge, as if a piece had been cut off at an angle. That is why the Bey jumps around the stadium, moves unpredictably and attacks irregularly and by surprise. Above it sit the four-sided, mid-height 4-70 ratchet and one of the heaviest blades. The bit has an attack value of 55, high for an Attack-type Bey, and so drives sharp, aggressive movement in the stadium. The blade has a stamina value of 5, low for an Attack-type Bey: in long battles it holds its spin less well.

By tournament points, the Beat Tyranno blade ranks 14th of 110 blades, the 4-70 ratchet 28th of 36 ratchets and the Quake bit 43rd of 49 bits (as of 1 September 2026). BeybladeGeeks and ilinnuc judge the Beat Tyranno blade mostly positively. In its stock combo, BeybladeGeeks do not consider Beat Tyranno 4-70Q competitive in tournaments, but recommend it anyway because its unpredictable jumping attacks are fun. According to BeybladeGeeks, the jumping costs Beat Tyranno spin: if it does not win in the first few seconds, the round is lost. They do not recommend the Quake bit for tournaments: to them it is more of a gimmick that makes the Bey jump and costs it stamina in the process. By contrast, the Beat Tyranno blade impresses with its solid weight and its thick, jagged edges, which let it pull off some of the best surprise attacks.

In the Beyblade X anime, Beat Tyranno faces Blader X's Buster Dran in episode 38 and would rather dodge than take on the fight. In episode 53, Rex Jura battles with it: Beat Tyranno jumps unpredictably all over the stadium, but Crest Leon absorbs all of its attacks.

Knife Shinobi stands on the High Needle bit, a cone-shaped tip about one millimetre taller than the regular Needle bit. Above it sits the 4-80 ratchet with four identical protrusions. The tip keeps the Bey in the centre of the stadium and lets it deflect attacks. The Knife Shinobi blade has a stamina value of 27, high for a Defense-type Bey: in long battles it holds its spin better.

By tournament points, the Knife Shinobi blade ranks 84th of 110 blades, the 4-80 ratchet 29th of 36 ratchets and the High Needle bit 40th of 49 bits (as of 1 September 2026). BeybladeGeeks call Knife Shinobi a ninja Bey that goes down well with many. BeybladeGeeks advise swapping out the 4-80 ratchet as soon as possible. ilinnuc would have preferred a 3-60 or 5-60 ratchet instead of the 4-80, because four-sided ratchets burst more easily. ilinnuc initially found the flatter tip of the High Needle bit promising for defense, but now never uses the bit and does not rate it as good.

ilinnuc gives the dual pack with Beat Tyranno 8 out of 10 points and calls it a must-buy for Attack fans, even though Knife Shinobi has been released before.

Hasbro released the Beat Tyranno and Knife Shinobi Dual Pack in the USA on 16 November 2024, followed by Canada on 10 January 2025. Beat Tyranno itself had already come out from Takara Tomy in Japan on 27 April 2024, there as Tyranno Beat in Random Booster Vol. 3. Knife Shinobi was available even earlier in the Knife Shinobi and Keel Shark Dual Pack, which Hasbro released in Australia on 16 May 2024.

The box contains only the two Beys; you need a launcher separately. When you recombine blade, ratchet and bit, you change how a Bey performs.
