Shelter Drake 5-70O Hasbro G2732

A Stamina Bey whose Blade would rather be dealing hits: the Shelter Drake Blade is built narrow and light and still lands noticeably hard. The real strengths here are the 5-70 Ratchet, which fits almost anything, and the Orb Bit; the Blade itself may have more to give in a more aggressive setup than in the Stamina combo it ships with.

Description

The most unusual thing about the Shelter Drake is the shape of its Blade: it is oval and elongated, almost rectangular and therefore less round than a usual Blade, with one large metal edge at the top and one at the bottom. The Shelter Drake Blade is thin and light on top of that — and according to BeybladeGeeks it still hits harder than it looks: out of the two edges and the gap between them it pulls a good deal of recoil.

The Shelter Drake is classified as a Stamina Bey, which fits its Orb Bit: its defense value of 30 is high for a Stamina Bey, which puts the centre of gravity lower and steadier, and makes the Bey harder to tip out of the stadium.

BeybladeGeeks praise the 5-70 Ratchet for its weight and for the far-out weight distribution that helps stamina — and for the fact that five-sided Ratchets fit almost anything. The Orb Bit they consider a very strong choice. The Shelter Drake Blade itself gets a more critical verdict from BeybladeGeeks: in early 2026 they count it among the weaker of the Drake and Dragoon Beys and possibly no longer a first choice for the current meta — they see more in it in a more aggressive setup than in the Stamina and Defense combos it was designed for. A Bey's type hangs on its Bit: so if you want to build the Blade for more attack, that is where you start. By tournament points the Orb Bit sits 19th of 49 Bits, the 5-70 Ratchet 21st of 36 Ratchets, and the Blade only 65th of 111 Blades (as of 1 September 2026).

In the Beyblade X anime, the Shelter Drake is Ciel Kaminari's Bey.

The Shelter Drake was released on 15 February 2025 in Japan, by Takara Tomy in the Random Booster Shelter Drake Select. The Hasbro edition you are getting here followed on 30 January 2026, first in the US.

In the box the Bey comes on its own, without a Launcher — you need one separately. It is part of the BX range, the Basic Line of Beyblade X.
