Sneak Attack Battle Set Hasbro G1940
A Beystadium that changes the game: a hidden switch flips up a rail, battles get longer, and attackers take more risk. It also comes with the Attack Bey Cutter Shinobi and the Stamina Bey Rampart Aegis.
Rampart Aegis
Cutter ShinobiDescription
At the end of the Sneak Attack Beystadium's X-Celerator Rail sits a rail section that can flip up: the sneak attack the stadium and set are named after. On the X-Celerator Rail, gears engage the bit and trigger the Xtreme Dash. Points are scored in three zones: at the front is a wide Xtreme Finish zone worth 3 points, and the two Knockout zones, worth 2 points each, sit in the rear corners, close to the switch. Because the Xtreme Finish zone is so wide, an Xtreme Finish is easier to land, and that goes for both sides. The actual battle area is smaller than in Hasbro's Xtreme Stadium, attacks lose speed, and battles get surprisingly long. So don't launch at full power here: position and launch angle matter, or you'll shoot your own Bey into the Xtreme Finish zone.
The set also brings two right-spinning Beys. Cutter Shinobi LF is the Attack Bey and replaces Shadow Shinobi 1-80MN. Its ratchet is built into the blade, with the Low Flat bit underneath. With a defense value of 48, the blade rates high for an Attack Bey: it takes hits better and deflects them. The Low Flat bit is about one millimetre lower than a regular Flat bit, and its flat tip drives an aggressive movement that easily catches the Xtreme Line. That way the Bey also hits its opponents from below.
Rampart Aegis GB is the Stamina Bey in the set. Picture its blade as a round, compact wall: shields of very thick plastic sit all around beneath the metal, and here too the ratchet is built into the blade. With a defense value of 70, the blade rates high for a Stamina Bey: it absorbs and deflects hits instead of getting knocked out of the stadium. At 32.7 g, the Bey is on the light side for a Stamina Bey: that makes it agile, but costs momentum and the power to hold its spin. The Gear Ball bit has a round tip whose gear reaches all the way to the bottom, so it engages the Xtreme Line more easily.
According to BeybladeGeeks, Attack Beys have a harder time in the Sneak Attack Beystadium: space is tight, and the switch often doesn't trigger right away. In BeybladeGeeks' view, the fact that the flip-up rail in the Sneak Attack Beystadium has no teeth could slow the Xtreme Dashes down somewhat. For them, the Sneak Attack Beystadium's biggest appeal is its uniqueness. By tournament points, the Low Flat bit ranks 17th of 49 bits, the Cutter Shinobi blade 96th of 110 blades and the Gear Ball bit 38th of 49 bits (as of 1 September 2026). BeybladeGeeks consistently praise the Low Flat for its attack, but find it hard to control; in their view, a Low Rush bit is preferable. If you have one, you can try it on Cutter Shinobi. The Cutter Shinobi blade has seen little tournament play so far; ilinnuc has seen Cutter Shinobi perform decently there when players dare to use it. On Rampart Aegis, the Gear Ball bit is worth swapping: ilinnuc prefers a regular Ball or Free Ball bit, because the Gear Ball loses extra stamina on the rail. BeyCorner finds Rampart Aegis fun and a good fit for the Sneak Attack set, but sees the stock combo as entry level: it only shows its full potential with stronger parts.
Hasbro released the Sneak Attack Battle Set first in Canada on 12 May 2026, followed by the USA on 30 June 2026.
The box contains the Sneak Attack Beystadium, the Beys Cutter Shinobi LF and Rampart Aegis GB, and two Basic Launchers. These are Ripcord Launchers, which you launch with a toothed rack. The Beystadium is approved for the X Open format. Swapping the bits and recombining parts changes how the Beys perform.
