1 / 6Typical questions from bladers
A heavyweight among Attack Beys: the Strike Dran blade lands heavy hits right from the start, but in a long duel it quickly runs out of steam. The 4-50 ratchet is worth swapping.
Strike Dran is a right-spinning Attack Bey built entirely around impact. It supersedes the Courage Dran S 6-60V. Picture the blade as a hexagon with three large and three small wings. The small wings barely protrude, so most hits are likely to come from the three large ones. The Strike Dran blade is the first Expand blade of the BX line: its metal reaches all the way to the centre, which is meant to make the blade more stable and makes it very heavy for an Attack Bey.
At 49.6 g, Strike Dran sits on the heavy side among Attack Beys: the weight puts momentum into its hits and helps it hold its spin. With a height of 50, the 4-50 ratchet keeps it lower than most Attack Beys and so lets it stand stable. That fits BeyMet's tip to run the Strike Dran blade on a 50 ratchet or a low bit so that its upper wings reach the opponent.
By tournament points, the Strike Dran blade ranks 9th of 111 blades, the 4-50 ratchet 11th of 36 ratchets and the Free Flat bit 20th of 49 bits (as of 1 September 2026). In okuyama3093's tier list (S to D), the Strike Dran blade receives the top grade S. BeyMet places the Strike Dran blade's attack power between Dran Buster and Shark Edge, which had clearly led until now, and considers it very worthwhile for fans of Attack Beys. BeyCorner calls Strike Dran a glass cannon: two to four very hard hits, after which its stamina can already be gone, and a lot depends on the opponent and the launch. ilinnuc also sees Strike Dran's stamina fade quickly; his rule of thumb: the first hits have to land. For important tournaments, ilinnuc finds Strike Dran too risky and not consistent enough; it needs a very powerful launch and has a higher skill ceiling than ilinnuc had expected. ilinnuc sees the Free Flat bit as a decent stamina upgrade over the regular Flat bit; BeyCorner sees only a small difference in a direct comparison, but still aggressive movement and Xtreme Dashes. BeyCorner would swap the 4-50 ratchet themselves: its four contact points stick out relatively far and make it more prone to bursts despite its low height. On burst resistance, the verdict of BeyCorner, BeyMet and ilinnuc on the 4-50 ratchet is consistently negative. As their favourite combo for the Strike Dran blade, BeyCorner names 3-60 Low Rush, with the ratchet's contact points under the three large wings.
In the Beyblade X anime, Strike Dran is Jaxon Cross's Bey.
The Bey was released on 16 May 2026 in Japan by Takara Tomy, there as DranStrike 4-50FF. Hasbro releases it as Strike Dran 4-50FF in the Infinity Starter Pack, which came out on 1 June 2026 in the USA and Canada.
Strike Dran belongs to the BX line, the Basic Line of Beyblade X. Recombining the blade, ratchet and bit changes how it runs.
